Resumen[EN] The production, morphological and chemical composition, and Feeding Value of Turnip, grown under irrigation in the Ebro Valley, are studied fo different vegetative stages of development. Eight wethers were fed for 150 days with turnip as only forage and assays on digestibility following the classical techniques were made. Dry matter production of the forage linearly increased up to 12 Tm/Ha. during the period studied. During the period previous to the development, of the floral sten, the stimated energetic value (units of net energy) was 0,97-0,99 F.U./Kg d.m., while later in the growth of the plant (with developed silique) it decreased to 0,57 F.U./Kg d.m. The content of DCP decreased in time from 17.1 to 5.1%.
