| Abstract: | The total catch by Spanish otter and pair trawlers in subareas 1-5 and Statistical Area 6 in 1974 was 181,038.9 tons, representing 2,353.1 tons laes than in 1973. Cod constituted the bulk of tho catch (157,740.0 tans), followed by Squids (16,137 tans), capelin 4,016 tona, haddock (1,553.2 tons) and pollock (1,455.6 tons). Haddook and pollock are taken as by-catch of the directed fishery of Cod, which is mainly operated by pair trawlers, and takes plaae in Subareas 1-5.
