AbstractThe aim of this research has been to consider the existence of an incipient textile production at the Early Neolithic site of La Draga. Given that until now no remains of textiles have been found, we have proposed a preliminary study based on indirect evidence, mainly on tools potentially involved in textile production process. This approach was suggested by the good preservation of wooden and bone implements on the site. La Draga provides a unique opportunity to obtain new data about the origins and development of textile technology in the Iberian Peninsula, as well as the processes and the tools involved.
