AbstractNegative and zero permittivity nanostructure composites have been obtained on a broad frequency domain. Additionally, it has been found that the effective dielectric constant can be modified by the application of a magnetic field. At low frequencies, these materials present a close resemblance to plasmonics. Additionally, effective dielectric losses can be suppressed by the introduction of some passive electric elements. In this regard, this kind of devices can be used in applications such as new electric passive elements.
