AbstractIn Ghana there is a discarding process by industrial shrimpers. Much of the composition of the discard were juveniles and those that cannot be marketed because they are not considered edible or a delicacy or had been disfigured through poor handling, had no market value (Trash fish). The rest (Commercial species) is transferred to small boats in open sea to be sold in the market, but this practice is now forbidden (Nunoo et al., 2009*).
