Abstract:	The type material of the Onthophagus species described by T. M. de la Fuente and M. de la P. Graells is revised. The synonymy of O. distinctus la Fuente, 1910, whith O. latigena d'Orbigny, 1898, is confirmed. As the original material of O. stylocerus Graélls is missing, the neotype of this species is designated.
