Evolution of regulatory landscapes

AbstractTemporal and evolutionary dynamic of gene expression is critical for tissue formation during animal development and has been essential for morphological diversification along evolution. This depends on cis-regulatory information located at the non-coding DNA that is organized in regulatory landscapes controlling the expression of specific genes. What is the dynamic of the regulatory landscapes along development and evolution? Here I will present a comparative study of the regulatory landscape of genes critical for appendage development that help to understand how these structures have evolved.
