AbstractBionanocomposites resulting from the assembly of negatively charged polysaccharides (xanthan gum) and sepiolite at the nanometer scale are able to associate efficiently to influenza-virus particles. This produces stable dispersions suitable as effective intranasal or intramuscular flu vaccines, as confirmed from experiments carried out in mice.
