AbstractThe goal of this project was to set-up a radar sensor fully operational in a mobile robotics research laboratory. In order to achieve this goal, several steps were done: study of radar principles, data sheet device evaluation, sensor purchasing, C++ development for real-time data acquisition, ROS integration and data visualization. At the end, the device was successfully used to carry out research experiments in the context of autonomous driving vehicles.
