Título: | Improvement of structural and superconducting properties of Bi-2212 superconductor prepared by hot-forging process |

CSIC ORCID | Fecha de publicación: | 2016 | Citación: | 5th ICSM (2016) | Resumen: | In this study, the physical and superconducting properties of Bi2Sr2Ca1-xNaxCu2O8+δ with x=0.0, 0.05, 0.075, 0.1, and 0.20 bulk samples prepared by hot-forging process (see figure-1a) were studied. The effects of Na+1 substitution for Ca2+ have been investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), transport measurements, dcmagnetization, magnetic hysteresis and intragranular critical current density. The XRD patterns of samples exhibit that peaks detected above 4% of maximum intensity indicate that all main peaks were constructed on (00l) reflections of Bi-2212 phase. It is seen in SEM micrographs given below (see figure-1b) for the sample of x=0.05 that well-stacked and textured grain structures of Bi-2212 phase have formed in the matrix. The best critical temperature, TC, has been found as 85.6 K under applied field of 100 Oe from MT data for the sample with 0.075Na substitution. The maximum magnetic JC value has been determined as 1.38x105 A/cm2 at 10 K for the 0.075Na sample.
