AbstractIn a previous work we described the structural determination of orthosphenic acid and netzahualcoyone from Orthosphenia mexicana Standley (Celastraceae). Continuing with the chemical examination of this species, we describe here the isolation of a new triterpene, 3-oxo-28,29-dihydroxyolean-12-ene from the aerial parts.
