AbstractA biogenetically interesting halogen-devoid metabolite chamigrenelactone 1, with a high oxygen-content, has been isolated from Laurencia obtusa from Isla Grande (Caribbean Panama). Its structure and stereochemistry were determined on the basis of spectral studies.
