AuthorsCastañeda del Álamo, Carmen ; Romeo Gamarra, Raquel ; Rodríguez-Ochoa, Rafael

Citation14th International Working Meeting on Soil Micromorphology (Lleida, 10 julio 2012)
AbstractThe present study highlights the occurrence of lacustrine material up to 3.35 m above the current lake bed at the southern margin of Gallocanta Lake, indicating a correlatable depositional environment. Micromorphological analysis allowed the identification of common pedogenetic processes occurring under water table fluctuations. Further analysis of lateral and vertical variations in chemical, textural, and micromorphological soil features can help to understand how soils form in relation with geomorphic units, and can be used in making land use decisions.
