Abstract: | This paper is a brief presentation about the functionality of lithic tools from several Early Neolithic sites in North-West Africa. In the last years, research teams have focused on this territory in order to study the origin of the first Neolithic communities. Data from the Northwest African coast are still scarce. Therefore this paper intends to fill the long existing gap between both shores of the West Mediterranean, an area that should be considered as a singular entity during the Early Holocene. |
