AbstractThe preparation of new Ru(ii) complexes incorporating fac-coordinated lutidine-derived CNC ligands is reported. These derivatives are selectively deprotonated by tBuOK at one of the methylene arms of the pincer, leading to catalytically active species in the hydrogenation of imines.
