Cu-CeO2 catalysts with low Cu-loadings present high catalytic activity and also clean
combustion, as only CO2 was detected as a reaction product, for the total oxidation of
naphthalene (Np). The improved behaviour has been related to the presence of one specific Ospecies,
which corresponds to defective oxides or to surface oxygen ions with low coordination.
