Training for CSIC Libraries and Archives Network [25/02/2020]
Next March 3rd, DIGITAL.CSIC Technical Office will deliver a training targetting CSIC Libraries and Archives Network in order to explain the proposed methodology to contribute to complying with the Institutional Open Access Mandate. More details available at CSIC Libraries Network site.
Pasarela 2.0 Goes Live! [22/01/2020]
We are glad to announce the release of an updated version of Pasarela conCIENCIA > DIGITAL.CSIC. This service allows DIGITAL.CSIC Team and CSIC Libraries Network to retrieve and export metadata and valid associated files from institutional CRIS to the Open Access repository. Pasarela 2.0 is better integrated with both conCIENCIA and DIGITAL.CSIC, thus becoming a fundamental tool towards compliance of CSIC Open Access Mandate.
5th Conference of CSIC Libraries and Archives Network [11/12/2019]
Last November 28-29 CSIC Libraries and Archives Network held its 5th Conference in Madrid. Under the motto "CSIC Libraries and Archives for Open Science: present and future" a wide range of topics were lively discussed, in particular what role CSIC libraries and archives are playing in the shift to an Open Science paradigm and what is on the horizon. A special collection gathers all presentations and related materials.
New educational resources [07/11/2019]
In October we participated in two training workshops for CSIC researcher and technical constituencies. Impact and measurement of Open Access analyzes the volume of CSIC and global scientific publications that are already made available in Open Access within a context of emerging evaluation systems and several strategies to accelerate the transition to a new scholarly communications model. For its part, Open Science: challenges and solutions explores the pillars of Open Science framework as well as opportunities for CSIC.
New features for DIGITAL.CSIC users [20/09/2019]
On September 18 DIGITAL.CSIC migrated from ORACLE to PostgreSQL. We have seized the opportunity to make improvements on browsing and search functionalities. In the new version, users can browse and search contents based on a greater variety of filters and it is also possible to limit searches to a specific entity (items, profiles, institutes/collections). A new module with access to all usage statistics since 2008 is also available.
Update in DIGITAL.CSIC pages about repository's services [30/08/2019]
DIGITAL.CSIC Technical Office has just updated the sections of its web that deal with research data management, compliance with Open Access mandates and innovative services for CSIC researcher community. Of particular interest are the new sections about DOI minting, preparation of data management plans, and DIGITAL.CSIC profiles.
Study on CSIC research articles available in Open Access [22/07/2019]
The team of CSIC Unit of Information Resources for Research (URICI) has published Open Access Routes Dichotomy and Opportunities: Consolidation, Analysis and Trends at the Spanish National Research Council. This is the first comprehensive study on the evolution and trends in the use of the different routes to enable open access to research (Open Access publishing and dissemination through DIGITAL.CSIC and other repositories) by CSIC researchers in the last 10 years (2008-2018).
Focus on Research Data Management [24/06/2019]
DIGITAL.CSIC Technical Office delivered a workshop on how to prepare data management plans in Humanities and Social Sciences targetting researchers of CSIC Center of Human and Social Sciences on past June 20. DIGITAL.CSIC team was also present in FECYT-OpenAire seminar on research libraries and Open Access on June 14, with a presentation about DIGITAL.CSIC research data services.
DIGITAL.CSIC Annual Report 2018 [11/06/2019]
The Annual Report gives an overview of main accomplishments in 2018, mostly as far as development of services to support Open Science, data management, monitoring Open Access mandates with CSIC obligations and participation in EOSC building are concerned.
