COAR launches a new site for its 3 Controlled Vocabularies for Repositories [23/07/2021]
This week COAR has launched a new site to publish and manage its three controlled vocabularies for repositories. The launch has also included a major update of its Resource types Vocabulary, with 30 new concepts, most notably in the realm of research data. The release also responds to recent developments and future expectations in scholarly publishing such as COAR’s Next Generation Repositories Initiative and the COAR Notify Project. DIGITAL.CSIC has participated in this initiative since its inception in 2014. Read the full COAR release.
Slides of FAIRsFAIR Spain's National Roadshow [23/07/2021]
The contributions delivered in the workshop co-organized together with FAIRsFAIR on past June 23rd are available at the page of the event. The online seminar targeted the national community and focused on Spain's EOSC Agenda and good practices in FAIR data repositories through presentations by Spain's Ministry of Science and Innovation, CSIC, SOCIB, Science Europe and H2020 projects FAIRsFAIR and EOSC SYNERGY.

DIGITAL.CSIC joins new COAR initiatives [22/02/2021]
COAR has launched Notify: The Repositories and Services Interoperability Project that gives an important boost to its strategic work to place repositories at the core of an open, distributed and global scholarly communication system that gets enriched with value added services. DIGITAL.CSIC participates as one case study of practical implementation. Further, CSIC has joined COAR call to make criteria for data repositories inclusive by acknowledging the current variety of such repositories and taking into account all stakeholders in the scholarly communication system.
New CSIC INVESTIGA. Revista de Ciencia publishes first issue around COVID-19 [12/02/2021]
The first issue of new journal CSIC INVESTIGA. Revista de Ciencia has been released today. This new institutional publishing enterprise is carried out by CSIC Institutional Communication Team and is hosted by DIGITAL.CSIC in a special collection under CSIC Presidency. CSIC INVESTIGA will be published every 6 months and will focus on current scientific topics. Its first issue revolves around CSIC work to fight COVID-19.
FESABID Libraries and Intellectual Property Working Group [12/02/2021]
DIGITAL.CSIC joined the FESABID Libraries and Intelectual Property Working Group in 2018. This Group gathers professionals from libraries, archives and museums with a major focus on the transposition of the Directive on Copyright in the Digital Single Market into national legislation. The Group also carries out several dissemination efforts such as the series of infographics "Qué sabemos de...". All Group's outputs can be accessed at FESABID repository.
Upcoming DIGITAL.CSIC training courses [11/01/2021]
DIGITAL.CSIC Technical Office will be delivering 2 online training courses for institutional community next April. The courses will cover several issues related to CSIC Open Access Mandate and Open Access topics of interest to researchers respectively. Period to apply will be January 18-29, 2021 at CSIC website.

This portal aims to provide analysis and public data about the degree of compliance of this institutional mandate, in force since April 2019 and part of the series of the so-called Green Open Access mandates. Training material of "Open Access and Reproducible Science" Workshop [17/11/2020]
DIGITAL.CSIC Technical Office delivered the online training workshop "Open Access and Reproducible Science" on November 11-13, 2020. This event has been the first edition of such type of training for CSIC researcher and technical community and focused on the so-called reproducibility crisis, possible solutions and recommendations as well as an overview of tools and resources for researchers and libraries.
