My main research interest is to understand how brain processes and stores information using a system approach and a wide and ambitious portfolio of techniques that include molecular biology, microscopy, electrophysiological recording of brain cells, in vivo remote control of neuronal activity and behavioral analysis in animal models. I truly believe that defining the links between the different elements of neuronal networks and a specific behavior is one of the biggest challenges for modern Neuroscience and will pave the way to understand and define therapeutical avenues to treat neurological pathologies, including autism spectrum disorders, schizophrenia and mood disorders.
