Especialización
Graduated in Chemistry for Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2006. Doctor in Chemistry for Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2011. He develops his work in Ceramic and Glass Institute (Spanish Research Council). The research topics are projects related to companies belonging to the traditional ceramic sector. New products have been developed as multifunctional glazes (hydrophobic, bactericide and mirror/metallic effect) for stoneware tiles by applying nanotechnology and new stoneware composition with higher mechanical properties by the formulation with different raw materials. Additionally, he participates in European Research Projects with public funds, in concrete in Daphne Project which consist in the application of microwaves energy in order to synthesise different materials as frits, glass, cement, slag or metakaolin. The activity is centred on the characterization of materials, study the viability of the final products and helping in the improvement of the efficiency of the MWs energy by using susceptors. He participates in a spin-off company, Advanced Dispersed Particles (ADP), working actively in the development of inorganic solar filters by controlling the agglomeration state of nanoparticles. He supervises final degree projects as project advisor.
