My research is focused on understanding the behavioural mechanisms and the ecology of marine predator movements. Particularly I am interested in the biology, ecology and behaviour of pelagic/oceanic sharks under fishing pressure -mainly shortfin mako (Isurus oxyrinchus) and blue shark (Prionace glauca)- and I am currently conducting a PhD in spatial ecology, feeding and fisheries of the mako. In combination with my academic activity, I regularly get involved in scientific surveys and other research projects as biologist consultant or professional diver. Enthusiastic naturalist and wildlife watcher.
