Especialización
Aida Serrano graduated from Physics Ph.D. program at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2014, carrying out the thesis work at Instituto de Cerámica y Vidrio (ICV, CSIC) in the plasmonic field on Au based-systems. Currently, Aida Serrano is developing her scientific career in the CSS group at the ICV (CSIC), with an "Atracción de Talento Investigador from Comunidad de Madrid (CAM) 2017" contract. Her main research line includes the fabrication of multifunctional nano/micromaterials by non-conventional methodologies with active interfaces tailoring the final response for diverse applications and the characterization by advance techniques. Besides, her work line also includes analysis of the coupling effects among other properties in hybrid systems by surface plasmon resonance, Raman spectroscopy, synchrotron radiation techniques among other methods, and the development of instrumentation to combine different experimental measurements. She usually collaborates with a large number of national and international centers and laboratories. Previously, she has worked at the CRG BM25 beamline at The European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) in Grenoble (France) and the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Besides, she has passed short periods abroad in the Dipartimento de Chimica at the Università degli Studi di Firenze in Italy and in the Shuller’s group at the University of California in USA, and she has participated as user of more than 42 experiments at The ESRF (France) and Bessy II (Germany). Aida Serrano is co-author of a total of 1 book chapter, 1 book, 2 patent and more than 48 articles in peer-reviewed journals. She has contributed in 14 research projects, 4 of them with a private company, 2 European projects and 2 as Principal Investigator. She has been Main Proposer of 14 accepted projects in publish call experiments at synchrotron installations and currently is supervising 1 Ph.D. student.
