Obtención de formulaciones de liberación controlada de plaguicidas mediante su encapsulación en matrices constituidas por polímeros biodegradables, así como liposomas, ciclodextrinas y minerales de la arcilla. Diseño de sistemas adsorbentes basados en complejos organo-arcillas, formados por composites de polímeros, micelas y vesículas con minerales de arcilla, que permitan un aumento en la capacidad de retención de contaminantes emergentes y microorganismos. Empleo de ciclodextrinas y otros biosurfactantes no tóxicos y biodegradables para aumentar la solubilidad de contaminantes orgánicos hidrofóbicos. Determinación de la fracción biodisponible de contaminantes orgánicos en suelos y de la capacidad de atenuación natural de los mismos mediante el empleo de técnicas químicas y bioquímicas. Estudio de la influencia sobre la solubilidad, movilidad y disponibilidad de elementos potencialmente tóxicos en suelos por la presencia de diversos aditivos, tanto enmiendas orgánicas e inorgánicas como compuestos biodegradables con capacidad de formación de complejos con dichos elementos.
