I am interested in the interplay between ecological and evolutionary dynamics. My research activity focuses on the positive influence of dispersal on microevolutionary processes in natural populations. I use mobile organisms (e.g. migratory birds) as model systems to investigate the role of genotype, phenotype, and experience in determining non-random dispersal and settlement patterns across heterogenous landscapes, and the subsequent phenotypic and genetic structure of populations.
