A 1 km submarine cable provided power and communications for real-time access to the data at a high sampling rate (2 Hz). The ADCP was a 600 kHz RDI Workhorse Sentinel with 60 levels (bins) of cell size 0.75 m with waves module activated. It was deployed on a ballasted pyramid with a gimbal system to level the ADCP. ADCP observations are available for 93.76 of the 14 month deployment. - Quality control procedure: Average directional wave spectrum from 28118 wave spectra obtained from ADCP currents between june 2013 and August 2014 in the Ría de Vigo (NW Iberia, Atlantic Ocean), STRAMIX project. Waves Monitor Software (RDI) was used to obtain the 28118 individual wave spectra. Criteria applied to compute parameters were: 20 minutes bursts with tilt and current correction every 10 minutes, maximum wave period of 28.6 s, sea-swell transition period of 7.3 s, 256 frequency bands, and 180 angles. - References:'Gilcoto, M., Jones, E., and Fariña-Busto, L.
