ResumenConsidering the increasing amount of organic agricultural and urban wastes, there is a strong necessity for finding a sustainable strategy which allows managing and reducing these kinds of residues. In this sense, biochar has become more and more important and it has been proposed as a novel tool to achieve this goal. At the same time, this approach provides other benefits such as mitigate the climate change and enhance soil quality and plant growth.
