dc.description.abstractTo study the asymmetric growth of reaction products, a PM Al/5 vol% Ni3Al composite was processed from commercially pure Al powder and argon atomized spherical Ni3Al powder particles in the size range of 100 to 125 μm in diameter. Samples about 10 mm in length were observed by optical microscopy (OM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The reaction products formed at matrix/reinforcement interfaces were identified by energy dispersive X-ray (EDS) analysis.-
