Abstract[EN] During the last six years an ethnobotanical research has been carried out in the province of Madrid, in central Spain. This province has got a high diversity of environmental conditions, from granitic mountain areas to limestone plains, which is reflected in the variety of vegetation and its traditional uses. However, the migration from the villages to the city of Madrid, and the agriculture and livestock farming crisis, threatens the conservation of the traditional farmer’s culture.
