Comments from the outgoing Editor-in-chief of Scientia Marina

Abstract

After four years as Editor-in-Chief of Scientia Marina, it is time for a change. From now on Dolors Vaqué is going to take over this responsibility. This has been the practice in Scientia Marina: after four years of work the post is taken over by a new person with new ideas and enthusiasm, though the working procedures—which have proven to be appropriate—are maintained. During this period I have willingly devoted most of my time to the journal’s commitments and think that this has been an excellent experience. I have learned a lot from my colleagues on the Editorial Committee and the Scientific Editors, as well as from referees and authors. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with this team
