AbstractThe Iberian Symposium on Hydrogen, Fuel Cells and Advanced Batteries (Hyceltec) emerged from the Spanish Network of Fuel Cells, Hydrogen and Advanced Batteries (REPICOBA), created in 2001 as an initiative of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and also joined by a significant number of research teams from different Spanish Universities. An annual workshop was regularly organized from 2002 to 2006 and, due to its fast growth and success, in 2007 the Organizing Committee of REPICOBA decided to extend the participation to research teams and industrial companies in the Iberian Peninsula and Latin-American Countries, turning the Network into Hyceltec.
