The 2009 Symposium H, entitled Synthesis, Processing and Characterization of Nanoscale Multi Functional Oxide Films II, was attended by more than 200 scientists who presented 10 invited talks, 59 oral contributions and 114 posters covering some of the most important topics in functional oxides research. In the present Proceedings volume, 64 articles are represented. As Guest editors we are very grateful to both the participants, who submitted high quality articles and to the referees who helped us with excellent and timely review reports.
