ResumenThe use of inhibitors is one of several possible methods to protect rebars from corrosion. The most common practice is their addition together with the mixing water of concrete, however their use as a curative method, e.i. by penetrating the concrete from outside on old structures already contaminated would be of great interest. In this paper preliminary results on the study of the inhibiting action of Na2PO3F are presented. In this work it has been considered either when added to the mixing water or penetrating from outside. The inhibitor effect has been followed using electrochemical techniques. Results indicate that Na2PO3F may act as inhibitor of reinforcement corrosion although it seems that the inhibition effect enhances when Na2PO3F penetrates through the hardened concrete.
