Análisis palinológico del yacimiento arqueológico de Pocito Chico (Pto. Sta. Maria): El paisaje prehistórico y protohistórico durante el Holoceno reciente en las marismas de Cádiz

Abstract

[ES] Se ha llevado a cabo el estudio palinológico del yacimiento arqueológico de Pocito Chico (El Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz), cuya cronología se extiende entre el periodo Calcolítico y el siglo XVI A.D. La dinámica de la vegetación observada en el diagrama polínico puede correlacionarse tanto con la antropización del entorno como con la evolución de la paleocosta y la marisma. Durante el Calcolítico se constata el cultivo del cereal bajo niveles de antropización del medio muy elevados; la transición a la Edad del Bronce marca el mayor desarrollo de los cultivos cerealísticos en la zona de estudio, a la vez que se produce una regresión del mar y se constata la presencia autóctona de Pinus pinea. La transición a la Edad del Hierro marca el declive de la cerealicultura y el desarrollo de la vegetación de marisma dulce. Una deforestación progresiva se atestigua durante el periodo Andalusí y los siglos XV y XVI A.D.

[EN] Is has been carried out the palynological study of the archaeological site of Pocito Chico (El Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz), which chronology extends from Chalcolithic to the XVI century A.D. The vegetation dynamics from the the pollen diagram can be correlated with the anthropization of the landscape as well as with the evolution of the paleocost and the saltmarshes. During the Chalcolithic period cereal was cultivated under high anthropization levels; the transition to the Bronze Age marks the greater development of the cereal cultures in the zone of study, simultaneously that takes place a regression of the sea and the native presence of Pinus pinea is stated. The transition to the Iron Age marks to the declivity of the cereal culture and the development of the vegetation of sweet salt marsh. A progressive deforestation of native forests is testified during the Andalusí period and centuries XV to the XVI A.D. century.
