AbstractThe valviferan isopod Saduriella losadai Holthuis, 1964, is a species so far thought to be restricted to the northwestern Iberian Peninsula. The monotypic genus Saduriella was described by Holthuis (1964) from material collected in a restricted locality of the Ulla river in the Ría de Arousa. Following this report, the species has only been recorded from the Miño river (Weber, 1985; Dexter, 1992) and in the upper reaches of the Canal de Mira in the Ría de Aveiro (Cunha et al., 1999). Here, we report the finding of one specimen of S. losadai in the Guadalquivir estuary (southwestern Iberian Peninsula).
