|Abstract:||In the Riera major, north-eastern Spain, hyporheic stoneflies and mayflies were far less abundant than those in the benthos. Three species, Baetis scambus, Caenis macrura and Leuctrafusca, spent a major part of their life cycle in the hyporheos.|
