Releyendo el pasado: nuevos resultados de la última intervención en el Castro de Vigo (Vigo, Pontevedra)

Abstract

[EN] In 2009 an interdisciplinary team carries out the recovery and museological Project of the excavated structures of Castro de Vigo, sponsored by the Council of Vigo and funded through the E Plan for stimulating the Economy and Jobs. Through of the re-excavation of the site and reading stratigraphic architectural structures that remain, new hypotheses have been raised about the internal organization performing the village, the functionality of some structures or transformations of canalization systems that cross the southern half of the area excavated. This we believe it enriches the knowledge of one of the great forts of Southern Galicia.

[ES] Durante el año 2009 un equipo interdisciplinar lleva a cabo el Proyecto de recuperación y musealización de las estructuras excavadas del castro de Vigo, promovido por el Concello de Vigo y financiado a través del Plan E para el estímulo de la Economía y el Empleo. A través de la reexcavación del yacimiento y la lectura estratigráfica de las estructuras arquitectónicas que se conservan, se han planteado nuevas hipótesis interpretativas sobre la articulación interna del poblado, la funcionalidad de algunas construcciones o las transformaciones de los sistemas de canalización que recorren la mitad sur del área excavada. Todo ello creemos que enriquece el conocimiento de uno de los grandes castros del Sur de Galicia
