El "Bulletin Général de Thérapeutique Médicale, Chirurgicale et Obstétricale (1831-1896)

Abstract

Esta nota de investigación muestra los primeros resultados del estudio de la revista médi¬ca francesa “Bulletin Général de Thérapeutique Médicale, Chirurgicale et Obstétricale”, en lo que se refiere a los trabajos que publicó sobre farmacoterapia. Abarca el periodo que va desde su fundación, en 1831, hasta 1896, año tras el cual experimentó un cambio profundo. Se reconstruyen los distintos consejos de redacción y periodos por los que pasó la publica¬ción, a la vez que se da noticia de sus principales responsables. Después se ofrece una esta¬dística elemental de los trabajos de farmacoterapia que aparecieron en la revista y de los prin¬cipales productores. Termina haciendo referencia al tipo de trabajos sobre el tema que apa¬recieron en el “Bulletin”.

// This research note shows the first results of a study of the French medical journal “Bulletin Général de Thérapeutique Médicale, Chirurgicale et Obstétricale”, concerning the works on pharmacology that it published. It encompasses the period that goes from its foundation in 1831 until 1896, year after which it experienced a drastic change. Its successive advisory boards and distinct epochs have been reconstructed, and information given on its editors. Afterwards we offer a basic statistical analysis of the papers on pharmacology and of their authors. Finally, we refer to the different sort of works on the subject that the “Bulletin” published.
