Abstract: | [EN] The present invention lies in the field of biomedicine. Specifically, the present invention relates to a cell of the
mononucIear phagocyte system (MPS), preferably a monocyte or a macrophage, which is genetically modified in order to
overexpress neutrophil gelatiniase-associated lipocalin (NGAL), to a method for production thereof and to the use thereof for
preparing a clrug for preventing or treating the damage caused by ischemia, ischemia followed by reperfusion or toxins, or acute
failure or rejection of a transplanted organ. |
