The decay η→π0h0 in two-Higgs-doublet models with a light scalar

AbstractWe investigate the possibility of a light scalar in the context of two-Higgs-doublet models. If the light Higgs mass is low enough for the decay η→π0h0 to be kinematically allowed, the experimental bounds on this transition severly constrain the structure of the Yukawa couplings. In the model where the neutral component of one doublet couples to fermions with weak isospin T3= -1/2 and the neutral component of the second doublet to fermions with T3= +1/2, the range of masses 100 MeV <mh0<2mπ is already excluded.
