Title: | Strong Enhancement of ɛ′/ɛ through Final State Interactions |
Authors: | Pallante, Elisabetta; Pich, Antonio CSIC ORCID | Issue Date: | 2000 | Publisher: | American Physical Society | Citation: | Physical Review Letters 84(12): 2568-2571 (2000) | Abstract: | We quantify the important effect of strong final state interactions in the weak K→2π amplitudes, using the measured π-π phase shifts with J = 0 and I = 0,2. The final rescattering of the two pions provides a strong enhancement of the ΔI = 1/2 amplitude, which so far has been neglected in the theoretical predictions of ɛ′/ɛ. This correction increases the standard model prediction of ɛ′/ɛ to values in good agreement with the experimental measurements. | Description: | 4 páginas.-- PACS numbers: 13.25.Es, 11.30.Er, 11.55.Fv, 13.75.Lb | Publisher version (URL): | http://dx.doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevLett.84.2568 | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10261/33219 | DOI: | 10.1103/PhysRevLett.84.2568 | ISSN: | 0031-9007 |
