Título: | Self-Organized InGaAs Quantum Rings -- Fabrication and Spectroscopy |
Autor: | Lorke, Axel; García Martínez, Jorge Manuel CSIC ORCID CVN ; García Martínez, Jorge Manuel CSIC ORCID CVN ; Blossey, Ralf; Luyken, Richard Johannes; Petroff, Pierre M. | Fecha de publicación: | 2003 | Editor: | Springer Nature | Citación: | Advances in Solid State Physics 43: 125-137 (2003) | Resumen: | We report on recent experiments on semiconductor quantum rings, fabricated by self-organized Stranski-Krastanov growth. In the first part of this review we focus on the growth mechanisms that lead to formation of annular islands, with emphasis on the influence of diffusion and surface tension. In the second part, we summarize the results of intraband spectroscopy, which show the influence that the ring morphology has on the electronic properties, in particular, when a magnetic flux quantum threads the interior of the islands. | Descripción: | 13 páginas.-- The written version of the plenary and invited lectures of the Spring Meeting of the Condensed Matter Physics section of the Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft held from March 24 to 28, 2003 in Dresden, Germany.-- Kramer, Bernhard (Ed.). | Versión del editor: | http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/978-3-540-44838-9_9 | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10261/31959 | DOI: | 10.1007/978-3-540-44838-9_9 | ISBN: | 978-3-540-40150-6 |
