Title: | Label-Free Pathogen Detection with Sensor Chips Assembled from Peptide Nanotubes |
Authors: | Rica, Roberto de la ; Mendoza Gómez, Ernest CSIC ORCID; Lechuga, Laura M. CSIC ORCID ; Matsui, Hiroshi | Keywords: | Bionanotechnology Peptide nanotubes Self-assembly Sensors Viruses |
Issue Date: | 1-Dec-2008 | Publisher: | Wiley-Blackwell | Citation: | Angewandte Chemie - International Edition 47(50): 9752-9755 (2008) | Abstract: | A robust viral sensor was developed by bridging a pair of gold electrodes with antibody-coated peptide nanotubes. The nanotubes concentrated the target virus on their surface by molecular recognition between the antibody and the virus (see picture). The nanotubes fit perfectly within the electric field line distribution to enable the extremely sensitive impedimetric detection of viral particles. | Description: | 4 páginas, 3 figuras.-- Supporting information for this article is available on the WWW under http://dx.doi.org/10.1002/anie.200804299. | Publisher version (URL): | http://dx.doi.org/10.1002/anie.200804299 | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10261/31378 | DOI: | 10.1002/anie.200804299 | ISSN: | 1433-7851 |
