Abstract: Flat oysters (Ostrea edulis) infected with Bonamia ostrae and uninfected mussels (Mytilus galloprovincialis) were cultured in the same raft for two years. After examination of histological slides of mussels collected bimonthly no presence of the parasite was detected in these animals.
