En Marruecos: árabes, beréberes y hombres de religión

Abstract

[ES] En este articulo se plantea como hipótesis de trabajo, y en base a material procedente de diccionarios hagiográficos y literatura jurídica, la influencia de los periodos de pujanza del tribalismo árabe procedente de los Banü Hila1 transportados a Marruecos desde tiempos almohades -con los conflictos y alteraciones sociales que suponen frente a las poblaciones beréberes, sobre todo en momentos de debilidad dinástica- en la relevancia que adquieren los santos por su papel de representantes de estas comunidades, protectores y árbitros en coniiictos, y como factor influyente en la aparición de züwiya-s y cofradías marabúticas.

[EN] Based on material from hagiographic and judicial literature, the present article offers as a working hypothesis the iníiuence of the periods of Arabic tribal strenght springing from the Banü Hila1 brought to Morocco from Almohade times t o g e t h e r with the social conflicts and disorders they supposed as to the Berber population, especially in times of dynastic weakness-, on the importante acquired by the saints due to their role as representatives of these communities, guardians and arbitrators in conflicts, and as an iníiuencing factor.in the appearance of zawiya(s) and Marabutic brotherhoods.
