Abstract:Specimens of brown trout were examined periodically in our laboratory for diagnostic purposes. Two of them harboured the myxosporidian Chloromyxum truttae LEGER, 1906. As existing descriptions of this species are rather incomplete, we offer here a redescription. Chloromyxum truttae LEGER, 1906. Host. — Salmo trutta fario. Location in the host. — Gall bladder. Geographic distribution. — Porma and Luna rivers (Duero basin, NW Spain). Stages collected. — Spores and trophozoites. Material studied. — 30 spores and several trophozoites.
