Fuentes de la Filāḥa fārisiyya

Abstract

[ES] En este artículo se tratan las fuentes que aparecen en la Filāḥa fārisiyya, obra de Casiano Baso Escolástico, de la que hasta el momento no existe ninguna edición árabe. Para ello, se ha partido de dos manuscritos: el número 540 de la Bibliotheca Universitatis Leidensis y el Selden Superius 21 de la Bodleian Library. De ambos se analiza brevemente su contenido y, tras el estudio pormenorizado de los diferentes autores, se aborda la transmisión de esta obra agronómica al mundo andalusí, principalmente a través de la figura del geópono Ibn al-‘Awwām. Finalmente, y a modo de conclusión, se destacan una serie de cuestiones relativas al citado estudio y se plantean algunos aspectos problemáticos conectados con dichas fuentes de información.

[EN] This article considers the sources that appear in the Filāḥa fārisiyya, a work attributed to Cassianus Bassus Scholasticus, which has never been published in Arabic. We focus on two manuscripts: number 540 in the Bibliotheca Universitatis Leidensis and the Selden Superius 21 in the Bodleian Library. The content of both is briefly analysed and, following a detailed study of the different authors, we discuss the transmission of this treatise on agronomy to al-Andalus, mainly through the work of the agronomist Ibn al-‘Awwām. Finally, by way of conclusion, a number of questions are raised in relation to this study and certain problematic aspects of these sources of information are discussed.
