AuthorsIversen, Eric; Woolley, Richard
Issue Date2017
CitationSTI Conference (2017)
AbstractThis study presents a novel comparison of disease burden and publication patterns across countries and health conditions. The preliminary results obtained support previous findings of striking disparities across geographical areas: diseases which are only prevalent in developing countries are under-studied whereas some diseases in developed countries, such as cancer, receive a lot of scientific attention.
