Title: | Explanation of the Delta(-)(5/2)(1930) as a rho Delta bound state |
Authors: | González Marhuenda, Pedro; Oset, Eulogi CSIC ORCID; Vijande, Javier CSIC ORCID | Issue Date: | 27-Feb-2009 | Publisher: | American Physical Society | Citation: | Phys.Rev.C 79:025209(2009) | Abstract: | We use the ρΔ interaction in the hidden gauge formalism to dynamically generate N* and Δ* resonances. We show, through a comparison of the results from this analysis and from a quark model study with data, that the Δ 5/2− (1930), Δ3/2− (1940), and Δ1/2− (1900) resonances can be assigned to ρΔ bound states. More precisely the Δ 5/2− (1930) can be interpreted as a ρΔ bound state whereas the Δ 3/2− (1940) and Δ1/2− (1900) may contain an important ρ component. This interpretation allows for a solution of a long-standing puzzle concerning the description of these resonances in constituent quark models. In addition we also obtain degenerate J P = 1/2−, 3/2−, 5/2− N* states but their assignment to experimental resonances is more uncertain. | Description: | 19 pags, 8 figs.-- ISI article identifier:000263816400064.-- ArXiv pre-print avaible at:http://arxiv.org/abs/0812.3368 | Publisher version (URL): | http://dx.doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevC.79.025209 | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10261/15942 | DOI: | 10.1103/PhysRevC.79.025209 | ISSN: | 0556-2813 |
