dc.description.abstract | [ES] La antropología criminal fue uno de los movimientos cientícos de mayor auge del positivismo decimonónico. Los estudios antropológicos sobre el delincuente, iniciados por César Lombroso hacia 1785, invadían la Europa de Finales del siglo XIX, y España no fue una excepción. El movimiento antropológico criminal español, a semejanza de lo que sucedía en otros países, tuvo la necesidad de manifestarse a través de una actitud personal, que en nuestro caso estuvo representada en la figura de Rafael Salitlus. Fue la suya una tarea personal, laboriosa y a veces incomprendida, donde fluyen enérgicamente la necesidad de una reforma científica de la criminología junto a la reivindicación de la antropología criminal como una ciencia nacional. dc.description.abstract | [EN] One of the most prominent scientific movement of the nineteenth century was criminal antrhopology. The anthropological research about criminals, which were introduced by Cesar Lombroso about 1785, invaded nineteenth century Europe, and Spain was no2 an exception. As in other nations the spanish criminal-antropological movement had its own personal ways of manifestation, as his instance the world of Dr. Rafael Salillas. His work, personal, laborious and not appreciated, was fully charged with the weed of a scientific reform of criminology and the reivindication of criminal anthropology as a nationai science, his life and work certainly represents the whole history of the spanish criminal- anthropological movement. | en_US |
