Comunismo cristiano: Las reducciones jesuitas del Paraguay y las hermandades hutteritas

Abstract

Several social organizations drawing their inspiration from Christian faith have established a complete community of goods and abolished private property. Two of those essays are the one lead by the Jesuits in their missions in Paraguay, 17th and 18th centuries, and the anabaptist brotherhoods (Hutterites) which arose in the 16th century and still exist and prosper in North-America. This essay goes into their doctrinal foundations, the principles governing their social structure, the challenges they face and their accomplishments. Last, I assess them as against 20th century seal socialism.

Ha habido varias organizaciones sociales que, inspiradas en la religión cristiana, se han basado en la comunidad de bienes, con supresión completa de la propiedad privada. Dos de esos ensayos han sido el de los jesuitas en el Paraguay, en los siglos XVII y XVIII, y el de las hermandades anabaptistas (hutteritas) desde el siglo XVI hasta hoy, en que persisten, siendo prósperas, en Norteamérica. Este trabajo estudia sus fundamentos doctrinales, los principios de su estructuración, sus desafíos y sus logros. Por último, las evalúa en comparación con el socialismo real del siglo XX.
